Acceptable Use Policy

Open Love - a service of Klikkracht B.V.

Last updated: 9 July 2026

1. Introduction and Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") forms an integral part of Open Love's Terms and Conditions (Klikkracht B.V., Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) no. 91303281) and applies to every user of the Open Love website and application (the "Service"). Where the Terms and Conditions and the Community Guidelines describe the basic rules of our community, this document sets out in detail what use of the Service is and is not permitted, how we enforce this, and how this relates to the nature of our platform.

This document has also been prepared to give our payment service provider(s), including Stripe, and other relevant parties insight into how Open Love carefully manages the nature of its services and which content and conduct we do not allow.

2. What Open Love is - and is not

Open Love is a platform focused on connecting adults interested in ethical non-monogamy (ENM): relationship structures based on mutual consent, honesty, and openness between everyone involved. ENM is a relationship orientation, not a sexual service, and is fundamentally different from infidelity (which lacks consent from all parties involved) and from commercial sexual services.

Open Love is explicitly not:

  • a platform for offering, requesting, or facilitating paid sexual services, escort services, or comparable "sugar dating" arrangements;
  • a platform for sharing pornographic, nude, or sexually explicit content;
  • an adult entertainment service, adult live chat, or comparable service;
  • a venue designed for anonymous, casual sexual encounters without relational context.

This boundary is not incidental but a core condition for access to and use of the Service, and is actively enforced as described in this policy.

3. Who may use the Service

3.1 The Service is intended exclusively for individuals aged 18 or older. By creating an account, you explicitly declare that you meet this age requirement.

3.2 You provide accurate, up-to-date information about yourself when registering and using the Service. Creating an account under a false identity, on behalf of someone else, or with the intent to deceive others, is not permitted.

3.3 One natural person may hold one account.

4. Prohibited use and content

Users are not permitted, in any form (profile text, photos, messages, chat functions, or otherwise), to:

Sexually Explicit Profile Content

  • post, share, or request nudity, pornographic material, or sexually explicit images or text;
  • use the Service as a channel for adult live chat, cam services, or comparable adult entertainment services.

Child Sexual Exploitation or Abuse (CSAE)

  • post, share, request, or link to any content that sexualizes, exploits, or abuses minors, or that depicts minors in a sexual or otherwise inappropriate manner;
  • engage in conduct aimed at approaching, grooming, deceiving, or otherwise exploiting minors.

Open Love applies a strict zero-tolerance policy toward CSAE; see Article 8.

Sexual Violence and Non-Consensual Content

  • post, share, or request content that depicts, promotes, or threatens sexual violence, rape, coercion, or other non-consensual sexual acts;
  • share intimate images or content of another person without that person's explicit consent, including so-called "revenge porn" and manipulated or deepfake intimate imagery;
  • pressure, coerce, or threaten another user into any sexual act or the sharing of sexual content.

Human or Sex Trafficking

  • use the Service to recruit, advertise, arrange, or otherwise facilitate human trafficking or sex trafficking;
  • offer, request, promote, or facilitate paid sexual services, including prostitution, escort services, "pay for play" arrangements, or sponsorship/financial compensation in exchange for sexual acts.

Scam or Fraudulent Activity

  • engage in scams, fraud, or any activity intended to deceive or financially defraud other users of the Service, including "romance scams", advance-fee fraud, or phishing;
  • maintain a fake profile or false identity ("catfishing") for deceptive or fraudulent purposes.

Harassment and Safety of Other Users

  • intimidate, stalk, threaten, or make unwanted boundary-crossing advances toward other users;
  • post hateful, discriminatory, or otherwise violent statements against individuals or groups;
  • share screenshots, profile information, or conversations of other users outside the Service without their explicit consent.

Commercial Abuse and Platform Integrity

  • use the Service for advertising, solicitation for other platforms or services, or spam;
  • offer or request illegal goods or services, including drugs or weapons;
  • infringe copyrights, image rights, or other third-party rights;
  • access the Service through automated means (scraping, bots) without Open Love's prior written consent;
  • create multiple accounts to circumvent moderation measures.

5. Age verification and self-certification

5.1 Upon registration, every user explicitly declares that they are 18 years of age or older.

5.2 Open Love reserves the right to request additional verification steps if there is a reasonable suspicion that a user is under 18, or that the stated age is incorrect, and may suspend or remove an account pending verification in such cases.

6. Moderation and enforcement

6.1 Open Love reviews reports and signals through a combination of automated screening and human moderation.

6.2 Users can report inappropriate behavior or content via the reporting function and the panic button within the Service.

6.3 In the event of a violation of this policy, Open Love may, depending on the nature and severity of the violation:

  • issue a warning;
  • remove content;
  • temporarily suspend an account pending investigation;
  • permanently remove an account, without entitlement to a refund of amounts already paid;
  • where there is a reasonable suspicion of a criminal offense, including the sexual exploitation of minors or human trafficking, report this to the relevant authorities in accordance with the Law Enforcement Cooperation Protocol.

6.4 Violations related to paid sexual services or sexually explicit content will, in principle, result in the immediate removal of the content concerned and, in the event of repetition or severity, the permanent removal of the account.

7. Reporting abuse

Suspected violations of this policy, including attempts to offer or request paid sexual services, can be reported via the reporting function within the Service or via info@openlove.nl. Reports are treated confidentially.

8. Zero tolerance regarding minors

Open Love does not tolerate, under any circumstances, child sexual exploitation or abuse (CSAE), or any other content, conduct, or accounts connected to minors in a sexual or boundary-crossing manner. Any reasonable suspicion of this will lead to the immediate removal of the account and, where legally required or otherwise appropriate, a report to the police and/or the Dutch hotline for child sexual abuse material (Meldpunt Kinderporno / EOKM), in accordance with the Law Enforcement Cooperation Protocol.

9. Relationship to payment service providers

Open Love complies with the acceptable use policies of its payment service provider(s), including Stripe. This policy is intended, among other things, to ensure that the Service is not used in a manner contrary to the terms of these payment service providers, in particular with regard to sexually explicit content, the sexual exploitation of minors, sexual violence, human trafficking, and fraudulent activity.

10. Changes to this policy

Open Love may amend this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in the manner described in the Terms and Conditions.
